The Forrester’s report outlining the selection of Business Intelligence vendors in respect to their self-services capabilities has just been released and based on their current offering it looks like Microsoft along with IBM, SAP, SAS, Tibco Software, and MicroStrategy lead the pack. Below is an outline of how individual vendors stack up against each other based on a number of comprehensive criteria with individual features or capabilities rated and scored in the realm of current offering, strategy and market presence. I have also enclosed a caption of the matrix which summarises two of those criteria i.e. strategy and current offering to give a concise overview of how these vendors position themselves on the evaluation graph.
